Ultimate WorkCover and CTP Physio Guide

WorkCover and CTP Physio Guide

At Masnad Health Clinic, we have multiple therapists with over 15 years of experience in treating patients under workers’ compensation and CTP. Our therapists are AHPRA registered (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency), and SIRA approved for treatment within the NSW worker’s compensation system.

At Masnad Health Clinic, we understand how difficult it is for you to work with an injury or to take time off work due to an injury. So it is our goal to remove all the hassle of dealing with the paperwork and insurance, so all you have to do is focus on your recovery to get back to work.

What is WorkCover?

Workcover is an essential service provided to workers who were injured while at work to recover. Workers’ compensation will cover your medical costs and wages while you recover to get back to your full duties. You can claim through your employer and the Workers Compensation Board if you suffer an injury at work, such as a fall or if you are progressively experiencing more pain due to the type of work you do.

What Is the Difference Between Workcover and CTP (Compulsory Third Party) Claims?

WorkCover claims are made when you suffer an injury while on work time, at a worksite, or when travelling between work sites. Your employer will be required to lodge a claim to their insurer and send you to a GP so you can start getting treated.

CTP claims are made when an injury occurs following a car accident during your personal time or on the way to and from work. Despite who is at fault, you are still eligible to claim. You are responsible for lodging a claim with your insurer and seeing a doctor.

Communication is key

One of Masnad Health Clinic’s core values is providing optimal care to our patients, so when it comes to WorkCover or CTP, we will take care of all the background work so you can focus on your recovery. We begin by keeping an open line of communication between our team, yourself, your GP and the insurer by providing detailed reports and attending case conferences to ensure that you receive the best possible care.

With this, we try to provide you with a safe and stress-free return to work experience so that you are feeling the best you can.

We also work with your employer and doctor to find suitable duties to ease you back into work so you can return back safely.

Return to work plan:

At Masnad Health Clinic, our goal isn’t just to get you feeling better. We will aim to get you back to work and better than you were before. We will work with your GP, employer and claim manager to develop a return to work plan for you. We will also create a tailor-made work and home exercise plan for you to follow to get you back on track.
