3. Discuss your concern

Tell the practitioner what has been happening, ask your questions and discuss what you would like help with.

4. Decide your next step

Your practitioner will explain the options available. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment.

Yes. There is no charge for either the phone or in-clinic assessment, and you are not required to book treatment afterwards.

If you choose to begin paid treatment, the fee will be explained and agreed to before treatment starts.

We allocate 15 minutes in the diary so there is time to discuss your concern. Some assessments may finish sooner once your questions have been answered and the appropriate next step is clear.

The phone assessment allows you to discuss your concern and receive guidance without attending the clinic. It does not include a physical examination or treatment.

The in-clinic assessment allows the practitioner to speak with you face-to-face and carry out a physical assessment in person.

A brief assessment may not provide enough information for a full diagnosis. Your practitioner will explain what can reasonably be determined and whether a longer assessment or appointment is recommended.

Treatment cannot begin during a phone assessment.

Following an in-clinic assessment, paid treatment may begin if it is clinically appropriate and your practitioner has enough time available.

The assessment itself remains free.

Your practitioner will explain the treatment fee before paid treatment begins. New clients receive 10% off their first paid appointment.

Yes. New and existing clients can book an assessment when they have a concern and are unsure which service or practitioner to choose.

Yes. A parent or guardian must be involved when the client is under 16.

No referral is required.

In-clinic assessments are available at Bankstown and Lakemba, subject to practitioner availability. Phone assessments can be booked without visiting either clinic.

No. This is not an emergency service. If your symptoms are severe, rapidly worsening or may require urgent medical attention, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for this assessment.
