Languages Spoken: English & Arabic
Nadeem is a Senior Physiotherapist with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Macquarie University and experience across aged care, disability, community, and hospital settings, in both the public and private sectors. Nadeem has a passion in supporting clients with gerontological (over 65s), and neurological conditions.
Over the years, he’s run a variety of programs, including falls prevention, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, hydrotherapy, and exercise classes for people with gerontological and neurological conditions. He’s passionate about helping clients build confidence, move safely, and stay as independent as possible. He enjoys tailoring exercises for all ability levels and working closely with families and carers to ensure all parties are aligned and moving in the same direction.
He’s also spent a lot of time mentoring junior physios and students, running in-services, and working alongside nursing and allied health teams. Clinically, he’s built strong skills in exercise prescription, mobility and functional assessments, safe transfer techniques, and advocating for clients who need equipment or extra support. He’s completed additional training in gerontology, stroke management, and Parkinson’s Disease, which has shaped much of the work he does today.
Aged care matters because:
- This population is often forgotten and neglected, and they deserve to live their golden years with dignity and grace, surrounded by their family and friends.
- Prophet Muhammad (SAW) looked after the elderly and it’s a form of worship to do the same.
- This population is so grateful for the little time and help they receive from people, and often don’t want to burden those around them.
Caring for the elderly requires patience, kindness, firmness and compassion.
A kind, caring and compassionate therapist who will treat their loved ones just like family, who will advocate for and want the best for their clients and all relevant stakeholders.
